Ice Cream
So today was apparently free cone day at Ben&Jerry's. That's right. Free ice cream. Now, ice cream happens to be my favorite substance on the planet, but I think it is completely ridiculous that anyone would be willing to wait 30-45 minutes in line for a free ice cream cone. It normally costs about $2. There are 12 ice cream shops in the vicinity, so why not walk to one of them and pay the measely $2 (we all know that this is not big money for UNC kids) and get a cone. If someone offered me $2 to wait in a line for a half an hour, i would say they were crazy. That's like a salary of $4/hour. Whose time is that invaluable?? I wouldn't mind a free ice cream if I had to wait 5-10 minutes. But I refuse to wait in a line longer than that, free or not. That's crazy. The only time I do that is for roller coasters, and even then I'm not crazy about the idea. People are wierd. The word 'free' makes them insane. People will take ANYTHING that's free, no matter what the situation.
