FINALLY! my vision

Ok, so the story goes like this: i proposed Chicago and it got accepted. At the time of the proposal, I listed Cabaret as a back-up in case we couldn't secure the rights. However, my "vision" (yes I know Im pathetically artsy) was for Chicago. When I didn't get that show, I was very depressed but everyone kept saying Cabaret would be great and I was on board with that. However - major issue: i didn't come up with a new vision. I sort of tried to convert my Chicago vision to Cabaret. Tragically bad idea and it explains why I wasn't more excited about the show.

Eric called me on this over the weekend. We had a pleasantly long drive to Charlotte and he made me see not only that I had not challenged myself enough when it comes to the show, but that my lack of vision was catastrophically bad. So when he started asking me about the show and helping with my "process" i began to get very excited about it.

I have done nothing over the past couple of days but immerse myself in the show and i am SO EXCITED!!!!! I have a working vision and tons of enthusiasm. I am so happy that one car ride fixed what I thought was an unfixable apathy towards the show. I was real worried about it and now I feel great. Everything will work out just fine - better than fine! This is going to be the best show ever done at UNC. I honestly mean that. I have my shit together and I am surrounded by the best production staff imaginable. AMAZING!!!!
